# Verification Status

VIDA provides the Status Check API service to partners that enables them to check the status of a specific identity verification request. To use this API, partners need to provide the unique transaction ID (kycEventId) returned when the identity verification API is invoked. The API returns responses, including the status of the verification process and status codes. If the verification request fails, the API returns the reasons for failure
