# Identity Verification Request

This API is used to send invitations to users to complete the identity verification process, and it includes a pre-validation step to verify the user's demographic details (NIK, Name & DOB).

If the NIK provided in the API request is not found in authoritative source records, the API request will not be registered, and an error message will be returned to the user. If the NIK is valid, the API verifies the name and DOB provided in the request against the authoritative source records. If the name and DOB are correct and match the provided NIK, the user can proceed with face verification and complete the identity verification process.

However, if the name or DOB provided in the API request does not match the authoritative source records for the given NIK, the user will be given an opportunity to edit this information during the identity verification journey. After the user has edited the information, they can proceed with face verification and complete the identity verification process.
